Cats and Dogs, you and I.
As I laid down on my bed in the early hours of a
Saturday morning
Still relishing the feelings of having time to
share with family since it was weekend
Suddenly my theme of focus turned to the presence
of the Cat and dog in the room
There was the Cat spread on the floor, lazily
disposed in his demeanor, (he is actually a Male)
Whilst the dog, a month old puppy (a female) scampers about the whole available
space.
My attention on them intensified as I began to observe
and note the distinctiveness between them
Unlike the
Cat who seems to be nonchalant when it comes to expression of affection
The dog exudes love and affection, warming up to
you, licking you, and wagging her tail
However the Cat is inclined to ignore you when you
call him by his name, more like naughty by nature
The Cat will only come to you when he needs food by
biting your toes or rubbing his head on your feet
Yet they bring happiness and joy to the owner by
being what they are Cat and Dog
Each with its own strengths and weaknesses
For example the Cat is a great climber as he can
leap and cling easily
He poops in a covered area and attempt to cover the
feaces always
And of course the rats have since relocated without
any form of protest
Conversely the Dog is bigger and cannot jump around
spaces like the Cat
She messes up the house without shame not to talk
of attempting to cover the mess
But the Dog is stronger and can help to ward off
unwanted guest
Best of companionship is also guaranteed with the
Dog because of her responsiveness
On the other hand cats are bereft of these
qualities or possess them in lesser terms.
So they are essentially built for peculiar tasks
which explains the different features of theirs
Though expectedly they fight but I notice they now
play more than fight.
Except when necessary like during time for Food
which is understandable
After all even to humans, a hungry man is an angry
man
Amazingly
what thrilled me most was seeing the Cat trying to cover the feaces of the Dog
Mores so considering these animals are perceived to
be Enemies
So why not you and I just like the Cat and Dog be
yourself
Knowing and showcasing your strengths
Knowing and working on your weaknesses
Knowing that tolerance is key since people are
different
That perception do not matter but your essence
Thus as the Cat and Dog, you and I are the world,
make it a better place
Interesting life we live in.
